Wittenoom – Online Again

After a significant downtime (Due to a major hacking attack), Wittenoom.net is back online and better than ever. We hope to be able to keep people more updated on the status of the book and other local information that before. Please have a look around and feel free to contact us with any queries.

A quick note the new design by Ian Ridgwell of Geek Haven is up. We’d love to hear your opinions and any ideas you may have for the future.

This is a gorgeously crafted website about a beautiful area I not only dream of but fully intend to visit someday. Thank you for all your time and hard work, not to mention beautiful photography. I hope you’ll please stay in touch with me regarding any interesting updates! Kindest regards from L.A.– Cheers! LindaV.

Hi my name is Ian and I put the site together for the owner (after a hack attack took down her previous one.) The owner hopes to keep more updates as they become available however its more about letting people know what we have, while we have it. I’d love to see some more of the photography as well. It’s hard to think such a beautiful area has such a troubled history. Thanks for commenting, and we hope to see you back here again.

Glad to see the site is back up and running :-)

I love the pictures of Wittenoom, and would love to come visit one day. I also love your determination to preserve the area, despite all the odds that have come your way over the years.

The pictures, site and place seem very inspirational and you all have my utmost respect for maintaining your home. I will check back for updates – keep up the good work.

All the best,

Sarah (UK)

Just spent 3 great days camped in the gorge, very peaceful and beautiful despite the tailings piles. We found the former village at the top of the gorge and went up to the mine entrance now caved in,I wonder if anybody remembers the location of the Wittenoom pub.
